One thing I noticed is that very few people got the concept and implementation of 1/4" margins correct. Let's set one up...

Lessons Learned from Assignment 3

• Turn in your photos of your bottles.
• 3 of you didn't turn in a photo of your bottle with a ruler. I will not grade them until you do.
• New rules for final project. Failure to do this will result in a lower grade
• NAME EVERY SINGLE OBJECT IN THE LAYERS PANEL
• Group things together that make sense to group together or put them in a unique layer
• Review all your layers and get rid of everything that isn't used
• Don't use Photoshop Effects in the Effects menu. They don't work.
• Remember: You can always resubmit an assignment for regrading. LAST DAY TO GIVE ME RESUBMISSIONS IS OUR FINAL ON 12/13
• Demo building an anchor (Oliver Simpson's anchor.ai.zip)
• Contrast as a tool to communicate & using Symbols (Suarezs_assignment3-jk.ai.zip)
• ALWAYS put strokes on text on the outside of the path. Demo.

One Artboard, 11inches wide by 17 inches tall with 1/4inch margin (Spec)

Bitmap Sizing

Remember that it's important not to make any bitmap image in your file less the 72dpi. Here's a demo
