Poster Requirements:
- Size: 11" wide x 17" tall
- Four color process CMYK
- 1/4 inch margin
- Any bitmap image used should not be larger than its original placed size – assuming the image is 72dpi
Poster Text Must Include:
- 9th Annual Digital Art & Animation Student Show
- Friday, May 19th, 2022 at 7pm
- Cañada College Main Theater
- $5 suggested donation to benefit student scholarship fund
Important things to remember:
- Absolutely, positively, DO NOT set any text in Photoshop!
- No hand-drawn text. Use a font.
- Don't let any bitmaps go under 72PPI!
Submission Requirements:
- An .ai document for print (color mode CMYK) named last name first initial-underscore-assignment4.ai (for example: khazarj_assignment4.ai)
- One artboard, 11 inches wide by 17 inches tall, 1/4 margin
- If you use a non-standard font in the file, include the font file with your submission rather than turning it into outlines (so we can edit it if
the date or place changes)
Some things to keep in mind:
- Posters need to be bold and simple. They need to be read quickly and induce the viewer to say, "Wow, I gotta to see that!"
- Precedence of message: How do you catch the viewer’s eye, and once you’ve caught it, what do you do with it?
