Description
Design a tattoo for yourself or some you know. Here's some resources to ponder while creating your design:
Tattoo Requirements
- Create an .ai file with an artboard that measures out to the size of the tattoo you want to do plus a 1/2 inch margin all the way around
- Place a rectangle the size of your artboard with a color that you think approximates your (or your tattoo recipient's) skintone and lock the layer
- Somewhere in your .ai document include a brief description of where the tattoo is located
- Use only these traditional colors (chosen from the PANTONE+ Solid Coated Color Book, based on tattoo artist Bowery Stan Moskowitz's palette ) :
- Black
- Red (use PANTONE 1795 C [H:358°, S:81%, B:84%])
- Green (use PANTONE 7742 C [H:108°, S:50%, B:46%])
- Blue (use PANTONE 533 C [H:225°, S:54%, B:27%])
- Yellow (use PANTONE 114 C [H:50°, S:75%, B:99%])
- Brown (use PANTONE 7516 C [H:23°, S:72%, B:61%])
- White
- Set your colors into a single custom color group in the Swatches panel
- Don't use any strokes smaller than 1 point thick
- You can use gradients of color, but only the colors listed above
