Final Sketches PDF Project

Step 1: Convert your .psd files to .jpg

Take all of your sketches that you've made over the semester and put them into one folder
Create a new empty folder somewhere that's easy to find. Call it lastnameFirstInitial-semester-assignment.
In Photoshop, go to Menu > File > Scripts > Image Processor...

Set ① Select the images to process to the folder with your source photoshop psd images with Select Folder...
Set ② Select location to save processed images to the folder you created to hold them in with Select Folder...
Set ③ File Type to Save as JPEG, Quality 10
Leave everything else at their default values
Click Run when you're finished
You should have a folder of jpg versions of your psd files

Step 2: Create a PDF with Adobe Acrobat

Download (if you don't already have it installed) and install Adobe Acrobat DC (aka Acrobat Pro)

Run Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
In Acrobat, choose Menu > File > Create > Combine Files into a Single PDF...

Click on the Add Files button
In the file dialog find and select all the images you just turned into .jpg's
In the file dialog click on Add Files

Click on the Combine button

You should have a new pdf document with all your files in it called "Binder1.pdf"
Choose Menu > Files > Save As... and save the pdf as "LastnameFirstInitial_semester_assignment" (so my pdf would be named khazarj_semester_assignment.pdf)

Alternate Step 2: Alternatives to Acrobat and the Adobe Cloud

Go to jpg2pdf.com
Click on the button
Select all your jpg files that you've just converted
Once it's finished, the button will become active. Click on it to download your pdf.
Look out for missleading ad buttons that say "Download" or "Open"

Uploading your files

Our blessed Canvas system place an arbirary file upload size limit, but it's fairly high (I can't actually find what the limit is, but some students have run into it. I did manage to upload a 1.5 GB file recently). If your upload is too big I will need you to find another way, such as Google Drive for Drop Box, and include the link to the file on the assignment upload page.

Otherwise, upload in the usual way here.

Please do not upload a bunch of separate files in a zipped folder. Way to hard for me to manage for grading.
