Two weeks in Rome and you begin to feel at home. We stayed in a great little apartment near the Vatican which was across the street from a major streetcar line, three blocks from the Metro, and only a block or two more from one of the best and biggest stall-markets in the city. It was also across the street from the Vatican!
One of the best parts of the apartment was its having a full kitchen, which meant we could cook all that great food from the nearby market stalls. Goat cheese flavored with truffles from Sicily, perfect tomatoes, zucchini blossoms, prepared scallopinis, spring onions, and really good, really inexpensive wine.
