"This March 4th will be a day of system- and state-wide actions called by students, staff, and faculty from the ten UC campuses, the Cal State University system, the Community Colleges, and K-12 schools. The March 4th date was chosen at a conference in Berkeley by over 800 representatives of these groups.

Along with the other UC campuses, UCSC students are planning a
campus-wide student strike. The UAW, the TA union, is supporting this effort and all campus unions have expressed solidarity with these actions."

I will setting aside this time for working on your assignment in class and be available for questions.

Flash Animation Continued

Review

  • The "root" movie is the main timeline you see when you first open Flash. It is referred to as "Scene 1" in the upper left corner of the animation window.
  • An animation is made by placing a symbol (aka movie clip) on one layer in the timeline and creating a beginning and an ending keyframe for it, then clicking on the timeline between the keyframes and choosing Menu > Insert > Classic Tween (or Motion Tween)
  • Every movie clip (aka symbol) has a timeline of its own. You can animate on that timeline too to create complex animations. (this is part of your assignment 7)

Rotoscoping

Patent drawing for Fleischer's original rotoscope. The artist is drawing on a transparent easel, onto which the movie projector at the right is throwing an image of a single film frame.
