Safety

  • AC Electricity Can Kill
  • DC, not so much, but it can hurt
    • Watch out for large capacitors
  • You Can Hurt Electronics
    • Don't shuffle your feet
    • Ground yourself before touching electrical parts
  • Lead is in some solder (not ours) and some electrical parts
    • Wash hands after using
    • Use lead solder only in a well ventilated area, don't breath in the fumes (wear a mask if you don't have an electric fan)

Outside Project

Assign­ment #1

Assignment #1: Acquire junk motors, switches, electronic noise-making toys and/or keyboards. Get two or three toys if you can manage it – it's super-easy to fry'm.
