  • Written option
    • Include why you named your color the name you did and how the piece supports the symbolism of that color
    • Minimum 300 words
    • Turn in on the stick by next Monday or email to me before then

Sketching for Design

  • Let's waste some paper
    • 1 minute to fill 1 page with something interesting
  • Know your aspect ratio

    • In this case, 7 1/2 x 10 or 75:100 or 3:4

  • Set down the knowns you know (thank you D.H. Rumsfeld)
  • How to block out type
  • Think Figure and Ground from the start
  • Avoid stick figures, think volume
  • Take Life Drawing — it's like aerobics for art

    • Smooth color
    • Specified steps
    • Specified distance
